About Us
Childspace Cooperative Development, Inc. (Childspace CDI) is dedicated to improving the quality of jobs for traditionally low-paid child care workers and the quality of care received by the children and families they serve. Childspace CDI supports child care professionals in the Philadelphia area in gaining the skills they need to speak up for themselves and their field, and to run their businesses in a way that supports quality care. Childspace CDI, has built a strong voice for child care professionals through its Provider Committee network and affiliated worker-owned centers who work in coalition with others in the field to strengthen the early care and education system. Childspace CDI concentrates its work in low/moderate income communities, serving predominantly women of color.
